Charity fund raise in Néprajzi Múzeum
At the end of 2024, museum professionals from the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest — Néprajzi Múzeum — initiated a charitable fundraiser within their team to support their Ukrainian colleagues.

We passed this support on to the
Zaporizhzhia Regional Museum of Local History, which was damaged by a Russian missile strike on January 23, 2025.
We thank our colleagues in Budapest.
We thank our colleagues in Zaporizhzhia.
We thank everyone who supports Ukrainian museums.
“The support from the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest was raised by museum staff as part of an internal fundraising initiative. Over its 153-year history, our institution has collaborated with Ukrainian museums and museologists on numerous occasions, and our collection includes items originating from Ukraine. Through this donation, we wish to express our professional and personal solidarity. We believe that Ukrainian museums will soon be able to continue their important work,”
