Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Museum and Reserve, Chernihiv Region

From February 24th Chernihiv region has been on the frontline, the city was under siege, shelling, isolated. In Chernihiv alone, over two thousand private houses and more than 800 high-rise buildings were damaged by the fighting. The Ministry of Culture recorded 38 war crimes committed by Russians against the cultural heritage of Chernihiv.
On April 3, Russian troops retreated from Chernihiv, and on May 23, the Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Museum-Reserve began receiving visitors. We hope that the most difficult times are over for the staff of the Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Literary and Memorial Museum and Reserve.

"The team of the Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Literary and Memorial Museum-Reserve in Chernihiv expresses its sincere gratitude to the Museum Crisis Center for its support and assistance!
In the early post-blockade times, namely in April, when little was working in Chernihiv, the infrastructure was destroyed, people did not have enough food and money to buy it, it was the Museum Crisis Center that supported our team by providing financial assistance. These funds helped people survive the extremely difficult times, withstand the trials and return to the museum. We kept the team together, and this is the most important thing now. In May, we were able to return to our activities and pay salaries to our employees. The help came very timely! Thank you!"
